I know most of my readers are probably not in the stage of life that I am but I found this particular article interesting. It may be something to think about for the future for those of you looking to have a family. We've learned from class and as we're growing up that saturated fats are bad for your health for a number of reasons. This gives you another reason to be careful of what is going in your mouth.
http://health.msn.com/healthy-living/nutrition/articlepage.aspx?cp-documentid=100266349This article didn't mention about how saturated fats affect women but I have read that women should avoid these as well as refined starches and simple sugars like those in processed breakfast cereals and soft drinks. Hormone imbalance can occur as a result which has an impact on fertility.
Great information Jeremy, (although it cannot be considered a fun form of birth control, nah, that would not fair well in the bean in a bag exercise. hmm) So many things effect out bodies physically, mentally, and emotionally. What we put in causes chemical reation that determine our ability and what we get out. I found out that not only does one have to be careful before pregnancy and during but also afterward if she is nursing a baby will he or she be effected. Hmmmm, with that said, does the male's consumption and habbits effect the sperm and what he passes on?
ReplyDeleteGreat information. (I would guess though that this is not one of those 'best birth control methods' that anyone should practice. They would not do well on the bean in a bag exercise the Professor demonstrated.) Not only does one have to watch intake before and during pregnancy but also afterward when nursing. A baby ingests whatever the mother does and has symptoms or side effects accordingly. Hmmmm, so if the mother's intake and habits effect the new life, does the father's intake or habits get passed on and effect the sperm which in turn effect the child? Do we know enough about that yet to be certain? 'Food for thought.'
ReplyDeleteThis is a great article to read. Many people are not too far off from wanting to have a family themselves and knowing more information about health and pregnancy is only going to benefit families. It is interesting to find out that saturated fats affect sperm count. If this does not get men trying to eat healthier, I do not know what will!
ReplyDeleteThere is some useful information in this article. It seems to me that people are too slow to realize that anything we put into our bodies has an effect on our bodies. What we put into our bodies is a major component of our psychological and physical health. Furthermore what we consume has an effect on those around affecting the lives of our children from the very beginning. We should all be mindful of this when we are deciding what to consume.
